Meet Tracey Dixon, RN, MSN, AGNP-C at Comprehensive Pain Specialists in Wilkes-Barre, PA

Tracey Dixon is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGNPC) with more than 24 years of nursing experience dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care. Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), she has built a diverse career caring for adults across acute care, postacute care, long-term care, and specialty practice settings.

Tracey began her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2002 before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University in 2007 and her Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University in 2018. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Throughout her career, Tracey has served in a variety of leadership and clinical roles, including Wound Care Coordinator in a long-term acute care hospital, Director of Admissions in a skilled nursing facility, and Nurse Practitioner providing care in post-acute medicine and gastroenterology. These experiences have strengthened her expertise in patient assessment, chronic disease management, interdisciplinary collaboration, and caring for patients with complex medical conditions.

As her clinical practice has evolved, Tracey has developed a strong interest in interventional pain management. She is passionate about helping patients improve their function and quality of life by identifying the underlying causes of pain and developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

Tracey Dixon values patient education, shared decision-making, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive pain care.

Known for her approachable demeanor, strong communication skills, and commitment to patient advocacy, Tracey strives to build trusting relationships with every patient while delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. She is committed to lifelong learning and looks forward to expanding her expertise in interventional pain management while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those living with chronic pain.

Outside of work, Tracey enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and relaxing with her dog, Blu.
